AMC Entertainment, Inc® Casts Two Leading Roles, Promotes Three Associates

Kansas City, Mo. (Aug. 3, 2009) -  AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMC), one of the world's largest and most innovative theatrical exhibition companies, announces today the hiring of Eddie Gladbach and Kevin Gray as well as the promotion of three associates: Dan Huerta, Scott Parrott and Roy Moore. Together, this group represents the diverse experience of associates working at the Kansas City-based company.

"Promoting from within is a key component of associate satisfaction and retention," said Keith Wiedenkeller, senior vice president of human resources at AMC. "And infusing fresh perspectives into the entertainment business through external candidates continues to propel our company forward. Each of these individuals demonstrates a passion for what they do at AMC. I'm proud to work with them."

Eddie Gladbach - As a new vice president in the legal department, Gladbach brings more than 10 years of experience to the AMC team. Prior to AMC, Gladbach worked as an associate at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, as well as Interstate Bakeries Corporation. He now represents AMC in many legal aspects including developing strategies for compliance with laws and regulations in addition to advising management in numerous legal matters. Gladbach graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with bachelor of science and Juris Doctor degrees.

Kevin Gray - Gray joins AMC as a director of business management. Previously with Ernst & Young for 16 years, Gray is familiar with his new role, formerly serving AMC as a client for five years. He now oversees quality assurance as well as budget and financials in the technology and systems department. In addition to his master's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Gray received his associate's degree in computer programming and his bachelor's degree in accounting from Missouri Southern State University

Dan Huerta - A long-time AMC associate, Huerta now stars as a vice president of technology and systems. Joining the company in 1978, he now oversees the design, installation, project management and support of the projection/sound and other technical systems inside AMC theatres. Formerly a director of digital systems, Huerta brings his expertise to many aspects of AMC. A native of Colorado, Huerta attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colo.

Scott Parrott - Parrott recently moved down "AMC Alley" from general manager of AMC Mainstreet to director of food and beverage services at the corporate office on Main Street. He brings 12 years of AMC theatre experience to the food and beverage department where he oversees internal and external communication of current and future food and beverage initiatives. Parrott attended Bethany College in West Virginia where he earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics.

Roy Moore -Moore was promoted to associate director of development systems from his previous role as the manager of business intelligence and integration systems. He directs many teams including application development and integration, Intranet and AMC's business-to-business systems. Moore comes to Kansas City originally from Newfoundland, Canada and majored in computer information systems and minored in business at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
